[Tut]Tilted Screens on a Nexus

Here we go. People have been asking how I make these screens.
Truth is, I used to do them just like everyone else, until I
myself had the guts to ask someone else how THEY did it, and
they were kind enough to share the details how. So here I am,
spreading the details. First things first, download this file
That is the link to a zip file. (Btw you will need photoshop
if you want this to work.) Inside that folder, is a psd file
and another file. Open the other file, and it should load in
photoshop as a set of actions. There are more there than you
actually need. Then, using ddms, take a screenshot. (You can
use a different program, but it has to take screenshots using
the full 800x480 resolution.) Then copy and paste the screens
into the psd file, which you should open, by the way. Then go
and open the actions file (use google if you don't know about
ddms or actions) and use "Resize Nexus One". That will take
your screenshot and warp it to fit in the phone. Then, if you
like, you can do resize image, which makes it a bit smaller
and more manageable. The ones inbetween there, you can fool
around with.

Widgets used in this shot:

- Weather Widgets by Pixelspore
- Clockr Evolution
- SMS Unread Count (Mod)

Other stuff:

Suave Revolution icons
Wallpaper can be found in the Dropbox (2nd collection)
LauncherPro Plus with a 9x10 grid
I re-align all my widgets utilizing the resize feature in LauncherPro Plus

Yeah. I haven't gotten into the whole iPhone look but I did the SMS Unread Mod and the app drawer just felt like it fit in. It's very minimal but it looks pretty, though. You can find the SMS Unread Count Mod in the Dropbox > Apps > SMS Unread Mod > Choose yours ;) I'm using the Suave Mod in this shot.

Sorry for the wretched name, couldn't think of a good one.
Okay, now this is tricky. So. Widgets are tricky now. Lol.
But the order goes thusly. When overlapping widgets, the
first one placed goes to the top, whilst the last one placed
is ordered to the bottom. It's backwards from what I think
it should be logically. So here are the widgets, and place
them in the order I list them:

Analog Clock (I used the stock MIUI one, but Analog Clock Collection has some nice ones.)
Smooth Calendar (Hide Calendar Icon and Transparent Background, white text)
Beautiful Weather 4x1 (Dharma Skin - hide background and current weather)
SiMi Clock (It makes up the black bar - remove the date)

Wallpaper can be found at visual/wallpaper/1st collection/Lighted Wall

So, on my 10 x 10 grid, bear with me.
This is going to be step by step. OMG.

Step One. After the widgets are on your screen,
and configured, it's time to place them.

Make Smooth Calendar 1x4 (you should only see one item listed)
and move it to the fifth row. (move to the top, and move it down by one notch.

Put beautiful Weather directly underneath that, but make it 5x1 instead

Resize Smooth Calendar down over Beautful Widgets. The date text and the calendar text should overlap, but the calendar should be on top. It is hard to read but bear with me.

Take Simi Clock and resize it to fit off to the left and then resize it over smooth calendar, but only down halfway through the weather, so the bottom hangs off.
(Make it 1x3, move it to the fourth row to the left, then resize it all the way to the right
and resize it down one.)

Now take your analog clock, and place it right above simi clock all the way to the left. Resize it to 4x4 over the digital clock. That should hide Simi clock and it should be just a bar.

Well. That was more than I shall ever type in a post ever again. Gahhhh.
